Married Ilsa, daughter of San Francisco banker Jeremiah Cohen, thus getting the leverage he needed to buy the bank in Marble Springs. Gave his banking partner, Michael Nolan, his only daughter, Mariam. Accused¹ of embezzling the bank's funds, Jacob spent fifteen years in the Canon City prison.
