1873 - 1929
Left his family's farm in Ohio with his young wife, Caroline, to homestead in Indian Territory. Thwarted by the locusts¹ and winter blizzards, he abandoned the homestead and moved to Marble Springs where he worked as a carpenter. Moved to Denver to work for himself. One living son Ellwood, and two still births.
